Montly Empties - May 2012

I don't expect to be able to do this each month, as I don't finish products all the time. I will do as often as I have some interesting empties to show and that I can actually talk about.

1. ELF Flawless Finish Foundation, this was a pretty decent foundation for the small price tag. I'm not so sure I'll buy it again, it was OK but there's a whole world of foundations out there for me to discover!

2. Herbal Essences 'Tousle Me Softly' Shampoo and Conditioner. I have been fed up with my straight hair for sometime, so I bought this shampoo to try and embrace my natural wave/curl. To be honest, I was really hoping that it would be this miricle worker and that it would airdry to this fab beach wave look. Of course it didn't. But my Russell Brand-esque hair was definitely tamed. So I used it all up and did my hair the usual way. I use conditioner on my toddlers curly locks and they were perfection with this conditioner! I won't buy this again.

3. Vitamin E Radiance Moisture Cream. I have spoken about this before, while I liked it, I won't buy it again. It gave my skin a nice glow to it, without looking like I've dipped it in a bowl full of shimmer. But I don't think it suits my skin. I do love the Vitamin E range, and think I'll try the day cream.

4. The Body Shop Satsuma Shower Gel I love this. I will definitely buy it again, it's a gorgeous scent and really wakes me up and sets me up for the day.

5. The Body Shop Almond Body Butter. I love these body butters, I think am going to try each scent and chose my favourite. I'm not sure I will buy this scent again, though.

Have you tried any of these products?

Superdrug Vitamin E Nourishing Night Cream

Apologies for the lack of posts recently, I've been quite busy. It's been half term, both my children have been ill (gotta love cleaning up sick!), and it was my birthday on Monday. I had such a great birthday, was spoilt rotten.

Back to the subject. Surprise, surprise it's the Superdrug Vitamin E range :) This time the Nourishing Night Cream.

I really like this, I use this every night after cleansing. The thick and creamy lotion quickly absorbs into my skin and makes it feel instantly hydrated.

It has the same gorgeous scent as the rest of the range. A fresh and clean smell.

The cream really makes my skin feel healthy and moisturised after use and not at all greasy the next day. I have had some night creams make my skin so greasy the next morning. With this cream, my skin feels soft the next morning. I used to get flakey skin on my forehead, but this has completely gone.

I would definitely buy this again.

Do you use Night Cream? Whats your favourite?

Superdrug Vitamin E Exfoliating Facial Scrub

And so continues my series of blogging about this range... (The series was actually unintentional!)

I have to say, this is my least favourite product out of what I have bought from this range. It works well, but I don't really like to use it. It's the consistencey I don't really like. It's a bit runny and messy to use.

They say:
'Vitamin E Exfoliating Facial Scrub uses oatmeal to provide gentle but effective exfoliation, revealing deeply cleansed, soft and radiant skin'

I have to agree with what it says, it is fairly gentle on the skin and definitely does the job. (Which actually makes me wonder why I don't like to use it!) My skin feels pretty tight after using this, so I'd possibly stay clear if you have really dry skin.

Like the Hot Cloth Cleanser it smells gorgeous. A really light, unoffensive smell.

That was short and to the point! Thanks for reading xx

Superdrug Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser

I have been having such a love affair with this cleanser. I picked this up in Superdrug whilst the Vitamin E range was on offer for 2 for £3.99.  This offer is over, however, the range has a different offer running on 3 for 2- link

This is such a great cleanser. I have combination skin, dry on cheeks, greasy on t-zone and this hasn't been too drying or too oily for my skin. It melts away my make up and leaves my skin feeling so fresh and clean. I noticed after using this for a while, I felt the need to exfoliate much less than what I used to.

The cleanser is thick and creamy and has a lovely scent. It kind of reminds me of holidays and sun cream. A nice, fresh smell.

As the directions say, I wet my skin with warm water and massage this in using small circular movements and use the muslin provided to polish off the cleanser.  The muslin is by no means offensive, but I'm pretty old skool and use a flannel as they're softer to use.

This is how much I need to use to remove my make up at the end of the day.

If you see this, pick this up. It's a great product that works really well. I am yet to try the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish that has been doing the rounds on blogs for a while, so I can't compare it to this. But if, like me, you're looking for something cheaper, give this a try before you go 'higher end'.
