Accessorize, Pillar Box, NOTD

I picked this up in Superdrug on 3 for 2 along with 2 other Accessorize polishes. They are priced at £4 each, so 3 for £8 is very reasonable. I also bought Blackberry and Truffle, which are gorgeous shades.

Pillar Box is such a nice red, it looks quite a deep red in the bottle, but fairly bright on the nail.

It is a bit fiddly to use due to the shape of the lid being large (does anybody else have this with these type of bottles?)

A close up, two coats with a coat of Seche Vite as top coat.

It lasted just over a day before it chipped. Which is about right for me, no brand I have tried have lasted any longer.  Being busy at home with the kids makes sure of this!

Have you tried any Accessorize polishes?

Sanctuary Radiance Exfoliator

I really love this, I bought it a while ago with £5 off vouchers from Boots. So it cost me £5.20 rather than £10.20 for 100ml.

I probably use it a couple of times a week when my skin feels it needs a good scrub. I am prone to hormonal blemishes and my skin can look rather dull at times, and this will sort it out a treat.

The grains in this are quite coarse. So if you like your exfoliators gental, steer clear. I like my skin to feel it has had a good scrub after exfoliator and I find myself really going for it with gental types, only to be disappointed that my skin doesn't feel any different.

Here is a pic of it on my hand, you can see the coarseness of it. It's made with 'Ultra fine apricot granules and grape seed granules'.

They say it 'Refines and evens skin tone for a lasting glow' I agree with this, after using my skin feels refreshed, and my make up looks better.

They say to use it 2-3 times a week, which I probably do use twice a week.

All in all, its something I'd recommend to friends and will deffinitely buy again. Unless something shiny and new catches my eye ;)

Rimmel Professional Finish, Camoflage Chic

This isn't actually a NOTD post, as I'm not actually wearing this today. So that would be a fib ;) I bought this a couple of weeks ago. As Rimmel is so readily available anywhere and cheap, I thought this is the best one to start with.

Expect to see a lot of NOTD, as I probably buy a new one a week. I am completely in love with nail varnish. I probably bore my real life friends to death about nail varnish and different brands I have and want to try. Sorry if you read this, pals ;)

Anyway, Camoflage Chic caught my eye when I was having a little mooch whilst doing the food shop in Asda. I just can't help myself, I'm like a moth to a flame in the make up and beauty isle. I seem to have a little thing for green anything at the moment, and this jumped out at me.

To me, it's a pale khaki. Bear with me, I'll probably improve with descriptions. It applied an absolute dream, I love the Rimmel brushes.

I bought this from Asda for £4.58, its the same price in most places I looked.

And on my nails. Matches my coat perfectly ;)

Hope you like my first proper post :) Thanks for reading xx

What to write about on your first post?

Hmmm... this is a hard one. So I thought I'd talk about me.

My name is Jo. I live with my other half, G and our two little boys. Owen & Louie. Owen is 6 and Louie is 22 months.  We also have a 3 year old dog (a staffie) called Rafa. I Did. Not. Name. Our. Dog. :)

I work part time as an administrator and this will be my space to induldge in all things I love. My loves in live (other than my gorgeous family, of course) are Nail Polish, Beauty bits and pieces, and Make up. Just spending in general, really ;) I am no fashionista, but I LOVE clothes and fashion.

Working part time and having two little ones means I am skint ;) so, theres going to be no high end purchases here, it'll all be budget items.

I'm a bit nervous... eeek....

Here's me and my monkeys on holiday this year.

So, lets she how this goes, eh?
